Rafael’s Catering was founded by Rafael and Ester Santos in 1982.
After serving 21 years in the US Navy, specializing in mess hall management and culinary duty, Rafael decided to start his own catering business with his wife Ester.
In 2005, Rafael retired after 23 years of catering and his son Joe took over the operations. Joe brought his own flair to the business and also expanded their menu options. In early 2019, Joe’s wife Frankie left her corporate job and came on board full time. Together, along with their 3 children, other members of their family and dedicated kitchen and delivery teams, they are committed to offering fine food and quality service to the Bay Area.
